Helping defray the costs
Many property owners who want to protect the land they love do not have the financial means to cover all of the costs associated with a conservation easement. Such expenses 
may include:
- An appraisal
- A survey
- A title search
- A timber cruise
- Payment into North Olympic Land Trust’s Stewardship Endowment Fund, which covers the costs of monitoring and enforcing the terms of the agreement forever
