Stewardship Fund

To protect the unique natural areas of Clallam County, ensuring that our quality of life will remain for future generations to enjoy, duck-6-04-044.jpgtypically we use an agreement between property owners and North Olympic Land Trust that is officially known as a conservation easement.

These legal, voluntary permanent preservation agreements allow the land to remain in private ownership while restricting certain future uses to protect the land’s special qualities.

The Land Trust maintains a Stewardship Endowment Fund so the organization can uphold these agreements forever. This Fund covers expenses related to making annual monitoring visits and is available should any agreements need legal defense.

North Olympic Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, recognized by the IRS. The Trust’s federal tax ID number is 91-1500378.
