22nd Annual Harvest Celebration

November 3, 2024 at 3:00 pm 7:00 pm

Just as November is a time to plan and plant for the future, we invite you to join us at this year’s Harvest Celebration fundraiser and sow the seeds for future land conservation.

For over two decades, our community has united to support local conservation, including farmland conservation, and the invaluable benefits it offers:

  • Local Jobs: Providing employment opportunities in our region.
  • Locally Grown Food: Ensuring access to fresh, nutritious produce.
  • Open Space and Wildlife Habitat: Preserving natural areas for future generations.
  • Rural Heritage: Upholding our community’s rich farming traditions.

While pressures continue to threaten remaining farmland, we’re thrilled to share that your support is allowing us to accelerate the pace of farmland conservation in Clallam County! To date, our collective efforts have permanently protected 26 local farms. Support from past Harvest Dinners played a vital role in conserving these lands that define our region.

Building upon the 22-year legacy of the Friends of the Fields Harvest Dinner, we’re thrilled to bring this new chapter in our annual tradition to the Sunset Lounge at the Field Arts and Events Hall on the Port Angeles waterfront.

Join us for a special evening dedicated to raising funds to support preserving our local farmland, forests, and habitats. Connect with friends and neighbors, stay informed about land conservation initiatives, and discover the latest news from local farms. In recognition of those who tirelessly steward the land and nourish the community, we’ll culminate our gathering by honoring the 2024 Farmer of the Year. This year, we are proud to present the Farmer of the Year award to the Sequim and Port Angeles Food Banks for their collaboration to support regional food security and distribute fresh, local foods to community members.

Together we’ll enjoy the abundance of our region through a meal made from locally sourced foods catered by 48 Degrees North. Note: Our menu is set in advance. Although the meal includes gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, not all available dishes will satisfy dietary restrictions.

Tickets are $135 per person. Space is limited and this event tends to fill quickly, so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible. Tickets are not sold at the door.
