Jim and Robbie Mantooth live on and steward Ennis Arbor Farm; a gorgeous property along Ennis Creek right here in the City of Port Angeles. Recognizing the importance of Ennis Creek, and how private landowners play an important role in protecting habitats, Jim and Robbie placed a Conservation Easement on their land, permanently protecting the conservation values through the Land Trust.
Listen to Jim and Robbie’s story of how community support for Ennis Creek ultimately led to the protection of Ennis Arbor Farm, ultimately leading to a healthier riparian habitat. They’ll also introduce their neighbor, Diana Erickson, who quickly was pulled into the fold, along with late husband, Lee Stucker, when they saw the habitat and community benefits of private land conservation through North Olympic Land Trust.
Community support is a critical component of our successes.
In the video, Diana talks about the importance of donating, volunteering, and considering donating to the Land Trust through estate planning. Please contact Alex at Alex@NorthOlympicLandTrust.org or (360) 417-1815 x3 if you’d like to learn more.
Fun fact: Jim and Robbie introduced Diana and Lee to the Land Trust by bringing them to our annual Conservation Breakfast. This year, Diana joined our Board of Directors!
We encourage you to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to this year’s Conservation Breakfast on Saturday, April 5th featuring professional wildlife trackers David Moskowitz and Sarah Spaeth. Space is limited, RSVP Today!
